This program uses the principles and movements of Tai Chi to help older adults improve their balance and increase their confidence in doing everyday activities. This evidence-based program is proven to reduce falls, improve fitness, and is designed for older adults who are interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength.
Classes are led by a trained/certified instructor for 60 minutes for 9 weeks. Participants will learn balance skills, proper body alignment and coordinated Tai Chi movements. This is a progressive workshop. Once registered you will be automatically registered for all Tai Chi classes.
Registration begins Tuesday, February 4.
DISCLAIMER: All participants must fill out a liability waiver to attend these classes. They can be picked up at the Adult Reference Desk and must be completed before classes begin.
